Adesuwa Akwaete African Print Dress

Discover the story of Akwaete textile and the heritage inspiration behind this NIKI KAY design.

Adesuwa is an Edo name depicting "wealth and prosperity." It symbolizes royalty, abundance, and the confidence of a woman who knows her worth—making it the perfect name for a dress designed to make a lasting impression.

The Adesuwa Akwaete Dress is where timeless African craftsmanship meets contemporary elegance. Expertly tailored from authentic Akwaete fabric, this statement midi dress features a flattering square neckline, feminine short sleeves, and a sculpted bodice that flows into a dramatic handkerchief hem. Signature side peplum details add architectural beauty and graceful movement, creating a silhouette that is both bold and effortlessly sophisticated.

Designed for the woman who embraces her heritage with confidence, Adesuwa is perfect for weddings, cultural celebrations, cocktail events, and every occasion that calls for unforgettable style. Rich in texture, striking in design, and rooted in tradition, this dress is a true celebration of African artistry.

Just like its name, Adesuwa is a reminder that true wealth is found in confidence, culture, and timeless elegance.
